Pomerania Film at SEFF

The Westpomeranian Film Fund Pomerania Film (ZFF), operating within the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle in Szczecin, has been established by the Marshal of the West Pomerania Voivodeship and the City of Szczecin, and the City of Koszalin. It started its activity in 2009, and its goal is film education, the development of film activity and film industry in the region, co-production through co-financing and organisational support for film production, as well as the cultural, tourist, and economical promotion of West Pomerania. ZFF Pomerania Film undertakes co-production activities with producers who are selected through a competition held once a year. So far, 49 productions have received financial support, and 29 films have been completed, reviewed, and assessed.

 

Paweł Kulik

Paweł Kulik (ur. w 1958 r.). „Wodę”, swój debiutancki film dokumentalny, nakręcił w 1996 r. Pierwsze filmy powstały przy współpracy ze szczecińskimi malarzami. Jego samodzielny video-art pt. „Dwa” reprezentował polski film na festiwalu Videofest w Berlinie (1994 r.). W 2014 r.  został nominowany do Polsko-Niemieckiej Nagrody Dziennikarskiej za film „Sploty jednego warkocza”.

Małgorzata Frymus

She is from Szczecin. Graduated from the Catholic University of Lublin and the PWSFTViT Film school in Łódź. Lecturer at the University of Szczecin. Journalist and reporter for Polish Radio Szczecin, deals mostly with culture topics. She worked with TVP Polish National Television (Szczecin branch). She made several TV programs and reportages. For years she has been working with the OFFicyna Association, the Zachęta Sztuki Współczesnej, and the Stowarzyszenie Ińskie Lato Filmowe. Celluloid Tales is her first documentary film.
